Codex: Emperors Hawks

Here is some more art I have been working on. The colouring on the original pencil sketch was done in PhotoShop. I was originally planning to go with an airbrushed highlight/shadow effect, but as it progressed I realised I liked the original pencil texture too much and so have used colours and layer effects to bring out the pencil drawing. I have also brought the nose and eyes closer together which I think improves the face a lot.

There's still a couple things I might go back and change when I have more time such as the inside of his helmet which has not really come out and some more eye/hair detail.

This is the original pencil sketch which I think keeps a character of it's own when uncoloured. This was drawn in an afternoon (about 7 hours).
